How Can I Get Involved?
This is a commonly asked question -- below are several practical answers.  We're always finding new ways to get people involved, for more volunteer opportunities. Look at the links and see what areas might interest you or donate to research.

Join us in Southeast Michigan and The Amster Lupus Research Fund and Friends of Amster Fund in raising much needed funds for lupus research at the University of Michigan Hospital. This research has created jobs in the area of lupus research, raised awareness, found better treatment options, is testing new promising treatments, finding possible ways to cure lupus and has enabled the Lupus Research Clinic to exist with many participants. We are on the front line and it needs your support. If you can only afford to donate a dollar or $100 please do it. Do it for that someone who you know has lupus, yourself or in memory of someone you know has lupus or lost due to lupus complications.

You can also make an annual contribution or set up a trust or foundation in your family or business' name. Have your own neighborhood or community fund raising event, luncheon, fashion show, marathon, swim event or cocktail party. Please help those you love find a better way to treat and eventually cure this debilitating disease !!!! 100 % of all funds raised go to research. I am a participant in many studies and have been involved in drug trials. I encourage all patients to do the same. Ask your Dr. how you can participate or call U of M to see what studies are available. You may also inquire about setting up your own self directed foundation through U of M gifting program.
